About Bootmaker
About Bootmaker
All Iron Boots are fully handmade by our bootmaker Kai and 5 teammates together in a small studio at Guangzhou. They are built in handwelt or hand stitchdown, with channelled insole construction, which are stronger and last longer than normal Goodyear welted shoes/boots made by machines. Each pair is 100% hand welted, hand last, hand bottomed, and also hand-sewn outsole stitch.

Defects and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Because we are a full hand craft maker, every pair could be slightly different and there are things we won't consider as "defects", including:
1. There could be slightly hand craft marks on the boot, like hammer marks, stitching machine's marks, etc. Those won't be very obvious, and none of those would impact the longevity of the product.
2. For hand dyed / hand patinated leather, slight color difference among pairs, or inconsistent coloring (like some parts could be darker and some parts could be lighter) on the same pair could happen. It's the nature of hand dye / hand patina
3. For natural color leather, there is a good chance that it will have some dark marks due to our hand dye process. Because we do hand lasting with hammer, and the leather is designed to get dyed so it's very sensitive. The light color would make that more obvious.
You can always contact us for any return question at info@iron-boots.com.
