About Bootmaker

All Iron Boots are fully handmade by our bootmaker Kai and 5 teammates together in a small studio at Guangzhou. They are built in handwelt or hand stitchdown, with channelled insole construction, which are stronger and last longer than normal Goodyear welted shoes/boots made by machines. Each pair is 100% hand welted, hand last, hand bottomed, and also hand-sewn outsole stitch.

About Leather

This grey SB Foot leather is a full grain pull up leather, with a thickness of 2.2-2.4mm (5-6oz). Very well oiled and waxed during the tanning process, with a delicate and rich color-changing effect on the surface. It's thick, but still feels relatively soft. So won't be hard to break in, if any break in is needed.
Its grey color is also very special, not sth you can find all the time. The quality and density of the fiber is damn good and even, so very low possibility for loose grain or unmatched grain.

About Boots:

• Using last TCO, based on dress shoe last but wider, features wide toe box, high instep and provides better heel grip and arch support!
• Grey Full Grian SB Foot Leather, only available for around 25 pairs!
• Stitchdown construction, 100% by hand
• High spi (depends on construction, usually 7-10)
• Using felt as filler (instead of cork)
• Using leather shank (instead of steel)
• Using leather as stiffener for both toe and heel
• Dr Sole rubber sole

Lead Time:

Typically within 5 months (orders from Mar. - Oct.)

Due to Lunar New Year holiday break and end of year surge, orders from Nov. - Feb. can take around 6-9 months to finish.

Size:

• Pick the same size as your Red Wing Heritage, Alden, Viberg, Nicks or Whites.
• Half size down your Brannock size.
• Half to a full size down from most sneakers.
